Launching of Nepal JSPS Alumni Association (NJAA) and its First Symposium

Nepal Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Alumni Association (NJAA) was formally launched in a ceremony held on January 21, 2016 at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur, Nepal. The first symposium of NJAA was held after the ceremony under the theme of "Towards Sustainable and Resilient Development in Nepal". The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Headquarter in Tokyo, Japan has endorsed the formation of NJAA and it has also supported this program.

Inaugural Session

Keynote Speech by Prof. Dr. Hitoshi Ieda, Director of Infrastructure Policy Program, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan on "Evolution of Infrastructure and Social Systems Pushed Forward by Great Natural Disasters."

The launching ceremony was attended by the invitees with keen enthusiasm.
